Types of TMJ/TMD Treatment

Physical Therapy

Great for patients with limited opening.

Non-invasive and effective when combined with other treatments.

Night Splint

Great for patients who experience most of their clenching/grinding while they sleep

A splint that looks similar to a clear retainer that keeps your jaw in a healthier position while you sleep

Reduces the stress on your TMJ and associated muscles while you sleep by up to 75%.

Botox (Xeomin)

Great option for patients who cannot tolerate a night splint or who clench during daytime hours.

Localized muscle relaxer that can prevent clenching/grinding during the day and at night

Can be used to treat tension headaches, migraines, and pain in shoulders, neck, TMJ, and around the eyes. (May have the added feature of reducing wrinkles.)
